Kalamazoo Guitar Lessons

Studio

This is the Studio where Guitar Lessons take place, and the equipment and software I use to assist with Lessons.

Unless you are using an acoustic guitar (which we could run direct to PA), you will be playing through a Helix Floor into a PRS Custom 50, Mesa Boogie Roadking, or a BluGuitar Amp1 Mercury Edition during your guitar lesson. I use Helix Floor to add any effects to your guitar; sound options are limitless.

As you have read, I offer to record the Lessons, and any jam tracks you wish to take home; as well as anything that you have written yourself. I thought that I would take a minute and show you the equipment and software that I use to assist with your guitar lessons.

This Software that I use to record is Ableton Live 11 Full Suite, and effects are added using VST Plugins or HX Edit via the helix floor.

Recording is either done direct or through a Condenser Microphone:

The Midas M32 can send up to 32 individual inputs simultaneously to Unlimited tracks within Ableton Live which can be mixed separately. The input that Ableton receives can also be a raw, dry signal from the instrument. Effects, such as distortion, reverb, etc… can be added to each track after.  Once effects are added and mixing/mastering is complete, the recording is exported to an MP3 file which can then be burned to a CD, e-mailed to the student, placed on your cloud drive, or you can have me put it on your mp3 player, phone, or iPod.
